Wisconsin Democrats: block Kanye West from ballot, bogus nomination signatures like ‘Mickey Mouse’, ‘Bernie Sanders’

(BSDMS) – WISCONSIN – The Wisconsin Democratic Part urged state officials to block Kanye West from appearing on the November Wisconsin presidential election ballot, and claim he used bogus petition signatures and submitted his papers for nomination late.

The party filed a complaint that claims Kanye West’s team didn’t submit its papers to Wisconsin’s Elections Commission on Tuesday by 17:00, which is the official deadline, according to Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

The complaint also alleges that there are bogus addresses and signatures in West’s papers, signatures that include names like Senator from Vermont “Bernie Sanders” two for “Kanye West” and a “Mickey Mouse.”

The complaint says a circulator used an address in California they haven’t resided at for three years, while another person used an address in Illinois that’s listed as being for “industrial purposes only.” The complaint by Wisconsin Democrats also includes affidavits from six persons who say they were tricked into signing the papers.

A Milwaukee resident named Cheryl Pernell stated she signed the nomination papers unknowingly at a Walmart when one of the workers told her the signature is required to ensure she would be registered to vote for the election in November.

Cheryl Pernell’s affidavit reads: “If I had known that, I wouldn’t have signed the papers, absolutely not… Kanye West would not get my vote and I think it is a joke that he is running for president.”

Another Milwaukee resident named Wanda Thompson stated she signed the rapper’s nomination papers after a worker said he gets paid one dollar for each signature. “If he hadn’t told me he was getting paid per signature, I would never have signed this nomination paper,” she mentioned.

Several of these same points were raised by a local banker named Joseph Santeler in a challenge to Kanye West’s candidacy.
